Basilico: Neapolitan pizza that tastes just like it does in Naples

Basilico shows up in nearly every list of Bratislava's best Italian food right alongside Gatto Matto, largely thanks to a Neapolitan-style pizza that many say tastes exactly like the one back in Naples.

What to try

The classic Margherita is the best test of dough and tomato sauce quality — and Basilico passes it easily. Don't skip the homemade tiramisu, which gets a mention in nearly every review.

Atmosphere

A smaller, cosy space on Dunajská where booking ahead pays off — seats fill quickly in the evenings and the restaurant isn't large.

Open Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays. Better suited to a planned dinner than a spontaneous drop-in.
