Gatto Matto Panská: a slice of Italy in central Bratislava
By Peter Vrábel · 22 July 2026 · 1 min read
Gatto Matto on Panská is one of the names that comes up almost every time someone in Bratislava asks about the best Italian food in the city. Deservedly so — from the food to the service to the overall feel, it reads as a genuinely convincing slice of Italy transplanted into the city centre.
What to try
The pizza dough is the main reason people keep coming back — subtly fermented, with a distinctive micro-crispiness that's hard to find elsewhere in the city. Worth pairing with one of the daily pasta specials.
Atmosphere
The Panská space is elegant without being stiff — it works equally well for a quick lunch or a longer dinner for two.
Good to know
There's a second location on Ventúrska. Book ahead for weekend evenings — tables fill up fast.
